You have reached the settlement website for Jock et al. v. Sterling Jewelers, Inc. In the Jock case, Claimants alleged Sterling paid female sales associates less than male employees who were doing the same work and denied females promotion opportunities in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Equal Pay Act. Sterling denies all allegations. After many years of litigation, the Parties reached a Settlement.

If you are a female who worked for Sterling Jewelers Inc. between July 22, 2004, and May 2, 2018, as a Part-Time Sales Associate, Full-Time Sales Associate, Department Manager, Assistant Manager, Assistant General Manager, Store Manager, or General Manager at Belden, Friedlanders, Goodman, Jared, JB Robinson, Kay, LeRoys, LeVian, Marks & Morgan, Osterman, Rogers, Shaws, Weisfield, and/or Ultra Diamonds (after Ultra Diamonds was acquired by Sterling Jewelers Inc. effective June 1, 2013), you are a Settlement Class Member in this class action and collective action settlement (“Settlement”). The Settlement may affect your rights, and you could receive money.

The Arbitrator overseeing this matter has preliminarily approved the Settlement and on July 29, 2022, Notice was mailed to all Settlement Class Members at the most recent address Sterling had on file.

Settlement Class Members will not need to take any action to participate in the Settlement. The Notice sent to Settlement Class Members will have more information on the Settlement Class Member’s legal rights with respect to the Settlement.
